User Guide

Everything you need to operate the FloorTwin viewer on the control-room touch display.

How to read the floor plan

The plan shows a top-down view of the plant. Each outlined block is a production hall; inside a hall, horizontal conveyor rows are production lines and the rounded rectangles along each row are machine stations. Animated dots on a conveyor show material flowing in process order. Scroll to zoom, drag to pan, or click any asset in the tree to fly there.

Color code legend

  • RunningMachine is producing at rate; node pulses gently.
  • WarningDegraded OEE or drifting telemetry; investigate soon.
  • FaultActive alarm. Node blinks until acknowledged.
  • OfflineNo telemetry received; dashed outline, ambient values.

Using the asset tree

The tree on the left mirrors the plant hierarchy: plant, halls, lines, stations. Use the filter box to narrow it by name (searching looks through collapsed branches). Full keyboard support: Arrow Up/Down move, Arrow Right expands, Arrow Left collapses, Enter selects a station and opens its detail panel, Home/End jump to the first/last row.

Interpreting telemetry

  • OEE blends availability, performance, and quality — anything under 60% usually means unplanned stops.
  • Temperature and vibration carry trend arrows: rising values (red ▲) precede most faults.
  • Cycle time compares actual against ideal; sustained ratios above 1.2x indicate starvation upstream.
  • Capacity load is scheduled demand against nameplate rate.

Troubleshooting

Why is a machine showing as offline?
Offline means no telemetry has arrived for that node. Check the gateway status in the toolbar first; if it reads LIVE, the PLC feed for that cell is likely down or the asset was deliberately disconnected for maintenance.
How do I zoom to a specific asset?
Three ways: type the asset tag in the toolbar search and press Enter, click the station in the asset tree, or use the Zoom to Asset button inside the detail panel. You can also scroll to zoom and drag to pan manually.
